Maitland: So I wanted to talk about today…the three things that I like to talk about are animals, preparedness and where we come from. I know I’ve talked about animals before and emergency preparedness I talk about all the time and so I want to talk about where we come from.
The reason I like talking about that is because it’s good as you’re going through your everyday life, I like to gently remind people that where you come from is a place of love and light. This is important because sometimes you can get so focused on the physical world that it kind of consumes you. You forget that all of the answers have to come from what’s around you and your logical mind. But you forget where you actually come from is this vast place, this vast universe of knowledge and support and connection. So then you feel like you are alone when you really aren’t. I like to remind people, it’s actually along with what you were talking with (Maitland named the Spirit Cindy has recently been connecting with to do automatic writing. Here’s a link to that blog.) when he was talking. It’s the same thing and the reason why I like to channel.
There is a different vibrational level with spirits that have incarnated and spirits that haven’t. There could be ascended masters that are really very wise and have a high, high, high vibration but, like a little monk on a hill, it’s easy to be calm, centered and relaxed. It is easy to feel enlightened when you have no physical stimulus from the outside world. But you don’t really learn who you really are until you are tested, or challenged and when you actually have physical things happening to you. It’s not something that you can get without actually experiencing it. You can describe it and you can have all this knowledge from the other side but it gives you a different flavor when you can actually experience that dense energy. What it feels like to feel the sun. What it feels like to feel wind. What it feels like to feel separate. Because even when you are on the other side, when you try to imagine it and try to empathize with it, until you actually feel it, since you are always connected, it’s hard to feel what that separateness can be like if you haven’t experienced it. Then it’s a little bit harder to understand that.
So people like me, as guides who have been on the earth, we can understand that separateness so we understand how hard it is when you are going thought stuff. That’s why I stress on this side after having lived several lifetimes and from this side looking back, how important it is. I look back and go “Oh, how nice it would have been if I could have remembered where I came from”. To give you that ability while you are going through these challenges it is important to remember where you came from because you also chose to experience that. And while that might not seem very fun when you are in the middle of something to think, “Why would I have chosen this?” it might help shift your perspective a little so that it’s not so hard and you can kind of move through it faster and a little bit easier. You can experience it without going around and around in little circles of frustration.
