An important tenet of being a psychic medium is to share everything that is received from Spirit. Sometimes during a reading this is difficult because the information received may be voluminous, incredibly esoteric, or even unpleasant.
Sometimes even when data is clearly received, it’s not easy to discern what message Spirit is trying to communicate. This happened to me recently when I awoke with the Elton John song, “Daniel” in my head. I knew it was a message from Spirit, as I had no recent recollection of hearing the song played. I watched a video to double-check the song in my head was in fact “Daniel” and found myself crying. I was fine when I woke up, so I knew this overwhelming feeling of sadness was tied to the message. I tried to puzzle through the meaning and also asked who is the intended recipient of this message? I didn’t feel the message was for me, and since I didn’t have any clients scheduled on that day, I was confident it wasn’t for a client.
I set the message aside, continued with my day, and went to an appointment. While at my appointment, I mentioned the song and my experience to the person with whom I was meeting. She is a clairvoyant, so I thought she might have some insight. She surprised me by sharing that the song was in her head before I had shared my story. She also shared that the song is in fact meaningful to her. She shared an experience from the 1970s, shortly after the song was released, when she heard the song and it was particularly poignant for her. Although decades later, she still remembers how she felt and how she cried while listening to the song those many years ago.
It was a relief to find the proper recipient of the message I had received and I marveled at how Spirit had worked with me to share the message. Spirit had been very methodical in communicating with me using multiple messaging formats. Not only was the song delivered to my conscious mind, but listening to the song evoked an emotional response inconsistent with my frame of mind prior to hearing the song, and then when I arrived in the presence of the intended recipient, I felt a need to share the message with her.
Note: Unfortunately, this official Elton John video isn’t performed the way it was recorded in 1972 and released in 1973, thus not the way it sounded in my head. I’m sure it’s tough to hit those high notes four decades later. If you want to listen to the way it sounded in my head, listen to a version from the 1970s.
