Mediumship, God, and Religion

Presence of Religion, God, and Angels in a Reading

Recently, I read a comment written by another medium that made me uncomfortable. In regard to the readings she provides she wrote, ‘My clients typically do NOT experience religion or info about God or angels that is not useful to them’.

I’ve pondered this for a few days to determine why I found her statement so off-putting. After a lot of thought, I was able to understand my reaction to her statement.

Universal Language of Love

I believe I am a child of God. I believe all of my clients are children of God. For me, this isn’t a religious position. Although I am a Christian, I believe all of us, regardless of each individual’s chosen religion (or not) are connected. Love is the universal language, with a lot of different dialects (religions) to express and experience the presence (and absence) of the language of love. So if you’re more comfortable using ‘universe’ or ‘source’, instead of ‘God’, that’s fine with me. But for me, ‘God’ is the term that resonates with me, and that’s the one I generally use.

Lightworking with Entities of the Light

As a lightworker, I want to work with entities who are of the light. For me, that translates to God, the Angels, and the ascended masters. So, I start my sessions with a prayer where I specifically call in several Angels. Although I do not work with dark entities of any kind, I feel that specifically inviting in entities of the light reinforces my intention of only working with light entities.

My Foundation

A psychic medium session with me isn’t a ‘religious experience’. Just as politics probably won’t be discussed (unless you ask a guide a question about politics), aside from the prayers at the beginning and end of your session, talk of God, angels or religion probably won’t be mentioned (unless you initiate those topics or an angel really wants their presence to be known). However, I want to be clear about my position. Just as I was put off by the other medium’s “no religion, God or angels” policy, I feel clients should know and understand the foundation upon which I base my life in general and specifically in my work as a medium.
