Cindy: Explain to me how karma works. Is there such a thing? Just tell me your viewpoint on Karma.
Maitland: There kind of is but kind of isn’t.
Cindy: Explain how there ‘kind of is’ and ‘kind of isn’t’ karma.
Maitland: There isn’t a law or authority or something saying how it is and that if you do “this” then you have to do “that”. Or if you do “this” action then that causes you to have to do “that” action to balance it. It’s all still free will.
Energy still seeks balance, whether it is positive or negative, energy naturally seeks a balance, but the only person that judges you is yourself. In that sense there isn’t karma in that it’s not set in stone that if you do certain things then you have to balance it out by doing these other things. It’s more your choice and the karma comes more from what you carry with yourself and it can carry over from other lifetimes as thoughts and experiences happen to you. You may want to balance it out with different experiences.
Cindy: So is it a personal decision whether or not you bring karma into a future or past life?
Maitland: Yes, it still is up to the individual soul. You may bring certain emotions or you may carry over emotions from another lifetime. You may have certain emotions that you want to try and balance by having a different experience. So if you had a life that you viewed as traumatic or emotional then you may want to balance that with having a life that doesn’t have that same trauma and allows you to approach those lessons from a different angle. That trauma can come from several things. It could be something that happened to you or you did something to somebody and it affected you. A lot of times a soul will try to replay it out in a different way. While that could be what karma can be, this energy agreement plays out in your life and gives you a sense that you don’t have control over it.
Cindy: Because it was pre-arranged before you were born?
Maitland: Yes. It could be something that you agreed that you wanted to experience beforehand and both of the souls are working that through in the current lifetime. You are trying to balance it out so it makes it seem inevitable even though it was your choice to experience it.
