Following is a guest blog from Guada Tagalog. Guada describes herself as an artist, musician, writer, Reiki practitioner, community manager, digital marketer, starseed, life hacker, lightworker, wizard, space explorer, ninja, robot fanatic and many other things. I “met” Guada when I retained her to create a piece of Reiki art for me. I’ve shared what she designed for me below. In addition to the digital art, Guada also provides a brief written reading. I HIGHLY recommend you avail yourself of the opportunity to retain Guada for a piece of your own unique piece of Reiki art.
More Than Doodles
As an artist, my style is free-flowing and mostly inspired by visuals I get from my meditations. I have only discovered recently (since I started my spiritual journey) that I have been channeling these drawings from a higher source beyond myself. Who would have thought that the seemingly random drawings and doodles that have come from my smudged left hand were actually channeled messages inspired by guides and angels? You know what they say. “Our gifts were given to us for a reason.” Since I’m on a lightworker path, it seemed fitting for me to combine healing with something that I love, which is art.
Creating Healing Energy
I got into healing this year when I attained my Reiki Level II practitioner status, where the attunements I received have deeply heightened my intuition and connection to the spiritual realm. I have discovered that activating Reiki during the drawing process charges the art with divine healing energy. It can also be received by any person I dedicate the drawing to—whether through a physical copy or in any form. I mostly send my drawings electronically, and those seeking my art request it through my website. Every drawing is unique and customized to the person’s energy and intention.
DIY!
But you know what? You don’t have to be a PRO to heal with art. You can even do it for yourself, which is how I started.
Combing Art with Healing
Art and healing have always worked hand-in-hand. The great thing about art is that it is for EVERYONE. Art is an outlet for self-expression and self-love. Allowing yourself time to express your emotions through painting or drawing is already a form of active meditation that helps you in the following:
- It allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life by focusing on creating something from your own heart space. In other words, it is a great stress-reliever.
- You are given the chance to express yourself and your emotions through a visible output.
- It fosters self-love and self-confidence through discovering your gift, with the desire for growth and exploration.
- It brings happiness by creating something beautiful that you can share with others.
- It enhances your connection to your soul and your spirituality. You’ll never know what kinds of inspiration will hit you. It may be a message!
All Art is Beautiful
To me, there is no “ugly” art. A lot of people have been discouraged to create. My former self included. Just because we like to compare ourselves to others. Every piece of art is beautiful because it is an extension and an expression of who you are; nobody can take that away. The process itself is as beautiful as the finished output, and the healing it gives you is priceless.
Heal Thyself
Get a pencil, a piece of paper and draw whatever you want. Over time you will discover your style, add more color and depth to your pieces. It’s really up to you on what you would like to create. Inspiration is everywhere. Beyond our surroundings and the people around us, our emotions, thoughts, and dreams can provide a whole treasury of inspiration. If you haven’t explored this form of healing, I suggest you challenge yourself because you are not going to regret it. Do it at work. Leave an hour of your week just for this. You can always make time for it, no matter how busy you are.
All you need is YOU.
We’re All Artists. Yes, Even You!
We all have an artistic side—both in this current life and for sure, in our former ones too—so get the confidence you need from your soul, angels and guides. Always believe in your ability to create something beautiful and worthwhile. A simple drawing on a piece of paper can become a painting on a blank canvas, a public mural, and ultimately, a reflection of your whole life.
Creation is at the Beginning of the Rainbow
After all, we are born creators. It is through creating something that we heal and express who we really are. It is part of us—which is why I highly encourage you to heal through this wonderful method. There is strength in healing from within. In fact, dedicate one for your own healing intentions right now. A simple scribble can spark a whole rainbow of opportunities for self-growth and self-love.
Open and unlock your heart to new things and the rest will follow.
