Spirit: Sometimes it is hard not to be hurt by other people’s opinions, but at the end of the day, nothing else matters. You are the only person whose opinion matters in your world. Friends and family may come and go and of course those connections are important, but you are living this life on your own while connected to everyone else. The actions you make both by affecting others directly and by reacting to the actions of others will be what you review when this incarnation is over and you will see that you won’t be affected by what others did to you nearly as much as what actions you took and what you did to others. It is an interesting lesson when you get your ego out of the way and you allow your soul to live a purposeful life. When you are soul-driven instead of ego-driven, you can have a very different experience. Of course some people like to say that the ego is all bad, and of course that’s a fallacy as well, because if it were bad, why would we have created that as one of your bodies? It is important to have all of the bodies – physical, mind, emotional, and soul working together as you say, and the ego is really important to be able to work in the world effectively. If the soul was the only body out front, then the soul would not have the opportunity to experience some of the rich human experiences that we’re all here to experience. If you are just soul without the ego, then it’s basically like being home again. It’s a waste of an incarnation. It really is the balance and combination of all the aspects of your entity that makes your human experiences so rich, so don’t forget that, but don’t JUST lead with the ego and forget all about the soul. It’s just a balance. That is all.
